Progressive groups Bayan Muna and Kabataan on Thursday filed their respective certificates of nomination and acceptance (CONA) for next year’s elections.
Bayan Muna first nominee Teddy Casiño said the party-list would again run for elections to continue being the voice of the poor sector and the marginalized at the House of Representatives.
(We in Bayan Muna would continue the fight for wage hike for our workers and farmers; lower prices of electricity, food, fuel, and other basic necessities; a stop in corruption; justice for all; proper pandemic response; and sovereignty in the West Philippine Sea and the entire country.)
The second nominee is incumbent Representative Ferdinand Gaite, while the third nominee is Amirah Lidasan. They vowed to curb contractualization as well as to promote and defend the lives of indigenous people.
Kabataan party-list also filed its CONA, vowing to continue to champion the rights of the youth in all aspects, such as education, health, livelihood and their human rights.
Incumbent Representative Sarah Elago accompanied Kabataan national president and first nominee Raoul Manuel in filing the CONA.
