
Former First Lady Imelda Marcos is currently recovering after a “successful” angioplasty last Sunday, her daughter Senator Imee Marcos said.
“Yes, she did. My mother underwent successful angioplasty last May 7,” Marcos told GMA News Online in a Viber message.
“[She] is recovering well and will be sent home this week,” she added.
The former first lady in 2018 told the Sandiganbayan that she was suffering from “multiple organ infirmities,” and her medical conditions include diabetes mellitus type 2, hypertension and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, static ministrokes due to cerebral scars from a previous surgery, moderately severe sensorineural hearing loss, chronic recurrent urinary tract infection, chronic recurrent gastritis and multiple colon polyps, and recurrent respiratory tract infection. — BM, GMA Integrated News
