Two minors who were seen on CCTV stealing a bicycle and staking out houses in Barangay Pasong Tamo, Quezon City were arrested by authorities, according to a “24 Oras” report on Thursday.
The suspects were first caught on camera breaking into a gated house at dawn on Tuesday and carting away a bicycle, which they also used as their getaway ride.
At dawn on Wednesday, the two were once again seen combing through a street with a parked motorcycle and a nearby shop.
Barangay officials at dawn on Thursday positioned themselves in the area where the suspects were seen. The two appeared anew, this time, attempting to rob a parked car. They were then arrested.
Records from the QC Police Station 5 and the barangay revealed that multiple complaints have been previously filed against the two suspects, who were residents of nearby Barangay Sta. Lucia.
(“Just because they are minors, their parents thin no charges can be filed against the and that they cannot be detained.)
The two suspects have been turned over to the city social welfare office for counseling, while their parents have been called to the barangay to respond to the complaints against their children.
