K-10 instead of K-9? Cats keep guards company at Cebu mall

While dogs are the usual companions of guards in securing properties, in this mall in Cebu, cats are the ones who greet visitors.

Netizens could not help but admire an orange feline or “K-10 (kitten)” garbed in a vest sitting beside the mall’s guard, according to a “State of the Nation” report on Friday.

The video was uploaded on Facebook by Tanol Dela Pena and has gained many views.

The cat, called “Kuya” is one of the 50 security felines around the mall, which offers pet-friendly spaces. 

The establishment also takes charge of feeding the cats, which are also vaccinated and spayed or neutered.—Sherylin Untalan/LDF, GMA News
