Atty. Garafil, nagbitiw sa LTFRB; lilipat sa Office of Press Secretary

Nagbitiw bilang chairperson ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) si Atty. Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil, at lilipat naman sa Office of the Press Secretary.

“Today, October 7, 2022, I tendered my resignation as LTFRB Chairperson as I have accepted the offer to help in the Office of the Press Secretary as its Undersecretary and OIC (officer-in-charge),” sabi ni Garafil sa pahayag na isa ring dating mamamayag.

“This is a great honor and privilege and I thank the President for this opportunity to once again work with him in his administration to serve the Filipino people,” dagdag niya.

Nito lang nakaraang Hunyo nang italaga ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., si Garafil para pamunuan ang LTFRB.

Dati ring nagsilbi si Garafil bilang service director sa Committee on Rules sa Kamara de Representantes. Naging piskal din siya ng Department of Justice (DOJ) at State Solicitor para sa Office of the Solicitor General (OSG).

Una rito, sinabi ni Marcos na malalaman sa susunod na linggo ang bagong press secretary makaraang magbitiw si Atty. Trixie Cruz-Angeles dahil sa usapin sa kalusugan.—FRJ, GMA News
