
President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on Friday graced the ceremonial blessing of two “ATAK” helicopters, which are the latest addition to the assets of the Philippine Air Force (PAF).
The Office of the Press Secretary said the two air assets were purchased from Turkey. The acquisition of the helicopters was part of the modernization of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Marcos expressed gratitude to the Turkish Aerospace Industries and the government of Turkey for helping in strengthening the Philippine military.
The President also recognized the efforts of the PAF in various aspects including external defense, internal security operations, disaster response, as well as relief operations. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
