TBWA\Hakuhodo, TBWA\SMP, dentsu Tokyo, Ogilvy Singapore secure spots on 2026 Cannes Lions shortlist on Innovation, Glass, and Titanium categories

As anticipation builds for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the 2026 shortlists for Innovation, Glass: The Lion for Change, and Titanium reveal a strong showing from Asia-Pacific agencies and brands, underscoring the region’s growing influence in shaping both creative effectiveness and industry transformation.

Japan emerged prominently in the Innovation Lions shortlist with two entries. TBWA\HAKUHODO Tokyo secured recognition for “Radio Time Machine” for Nichii Gakkan Co., Ltd., while Dentsu Tokyo earned a place for “Waves of Will Powered by NTT,” showcasing how Japanese agencies continue to blend technology, storytelling, and human-centered innovation.

In the Glass: The Lion for Change category, TBWA\SMP represented the Philippines with “Move #FixThePhilippines” for the Move As One Coalition. The shortlisted work reflects the region’s increasing commitment to purpose-driven creativity.

The Titanium Lions shortlist, often regarded as Cannes Lions’ most prestigious and difficult category to enter, also featured notable Asian representation.
